So I felt it was time to stop talking about creating communities and create one. When I lived in Rochester (way back in June), I really appreciated RocWiki. It provided an insiders look at places that I hadn’t even know and gave historical context to what I did know about the place I’ve lived for years. So I missed this important public resource and thought Buffalo could use one. To that end, I’ve started a Google Group http://groups.google.com/group/buffalo-wiki?hl=en that is made up of Buffalonians, and computer savvy folks from outside of Buffalo to create a wiki just like the one I know and love. So far, we have some excitement and interest. If you want to lend a hand, join the group and give your opinion. UPDATE: 11/23/2008 – The BufWiki has begun. http://buffalo.wikispot.org
